RICK DEWITT, SENIOR/ PRINCIPLE PARTNER/ Producer, cinematographer & Director (IMDB)

Richard De Witt is a photographer, cinematographer, writer, and film maker. He holds degrees from UCLA film program (1980-1982) and American Film Institute (MA Cinematography, 1988-1989). He began his work in professional film with veteran movie producers Robert Chartoff and Irwin Winkler (1983-1987). He was involved in the script-to-screen process on Round Midnight (1986), Betrayed (1988), and the Music Box (1989), with European film directors Bertrand Tavernier and Costa Gavras (1986). He also worked on Rocky IV (1985) and Martin Scorsese's, Goodfellas (1990). Rick has written over 10 screenplays and was hired to write a contemporary adaptation based on the Winnetou Trilogy, the top selling books in Germany, by the celebrated writer, Carl May (2012). He completed his internship at AFI with Clint Eastwood's Academy Award winning DP, Jack Green on The Rookie (1990). He has shot feature films, short films, commercials, PSA's, industrial, and documentaries for many companies including Dreamworks SKG (1999). As principal partner of EverWitt Productions, Richard produced and shot My Dad's Garage, the Hotheadz, MacMillan's Haunted Histories, and the animated concept, the Fumppits, with Hanna Barbera's, Bob Singer and J.H. Everett (201-2017). He created concept packages for PBS, Discovery Channel, MacMillan, Scholastic, and Stoopid Buddies Productions (with the help of BJ Guyer - 2017). He is currently in Pre-Production on the New Film Group Productions (2018) and Longbow Studios Indie feature film called, Wilderness. The script is based on the Battle of the Wilderness during the American Civil War and is a character driven Thriller / Black Comedy that will go into production, in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina in May of 2018.

Ev Stanton is an artist and writer. He holds a PhD in History from the University of California, Irvine. Ev is also a community cultural events co-producer for the LORE Foundation, NPO in Los Angeles, CA. Along with occasionally teaching at the university level, he co-created a middle-grade nonfiction series, Haunted Histories: Creepy Castles, Dark Dungeons, and Powerful Palaces, Henry Holt Publishing,  Mac Millan Press, Inc.  He regularly contributed as an illustrator for the Los Angeles Times, Kid's Reading Corner. His first children's picture book, The Candy Palace,  was published by the MMJ Foundation Press and Second Harvest Food Bank. In partnership with MMJ Foundation,  Ev has also helped create and implement the school giving programs for the Candy Palace project. Trained in illustration and painting by famed Hanna Barbera artist, Bob Singer and Disney artist Roger Armstrong, Ev also serves as the artist ambassador for the Candy Palace Charity. In addition to his current book projects, Ev has worked as a freelance concept illustrator for Jim Henson Company and has created concept covers for Scholastic Books. He served as an editor on Me and My World, as well as several other titles for the educational publisher, Teacher Created Resources. He has written articles for children’s literature publications and websites including: SCBWI Kite TalesChildren’s Book Insider, and The Reading Tub and is a featured author in the California Reader's Association and Authors Now! He has also co-created and managed a team for packaging children's television programming concepts that were pitched to PBS, Discovery Channel, and VOD distributors.

After earning a Master of Science in Radio, Television, and Film from North Texas State University (now University of North Texas) in 1984, Jeff Hartmann spent 2 years teaching film and television production at NTSU.  There he helped start the University’s cable channel.  In 1986 he left to begin freelancing in the Film Industry.  He began as a grip on a few films in the Dallas area then moved to Houston where he began a career in the art department.  He was a set dresser for films such as, “Full Moon in Blue Water”, “The Wizard of Loneliness”, “Blind Fury”, “I Come in Peace” and “Dances With Wolves” among many more.  He then worked as a Lead Man on films such as “Mississippi Masala”, the miniseries, “A Woman of Independent Means”, and “Rushmore” along with many others.  He was Production Designer for the movies, “Love and Mary” and “Houston”.  Lately he has been an Art Director for television commercials. In 1998 he made 3000 cut-outs of individuals to help fill the stadium for the film “For Love of the Game”.  He has continued to rent these cut-outs over the years and his company, MrFlatPeople has helped fill the stands for films such as “The Replacements”, “Remember the Titans” and “Mr 3000” and many more.


Scott Moesta, Sales Agent & Representation

Scott has been an entertainment distribution professional for over 30 years, including 10 years at Paramount Pictures as Director of Special Markets and Head Liaison between the Paramount and MTV executives. He also served as Vice President of Distribution at Genius Products, as Vice President and Head Liaison for the home entertainment and Universal Music divisions at Vivendi, and as Executive Vice President and General Manager overseeing all entertainment strategies for ARC Entertainment, LLC. Scott has extensive experience in all channels of distribution, acquisitions, corporate strategy, and negotiation of licensing agreements.

While at Paramount Pictures, Scott played a key role in distributing the Mission Impossible and Star Trek franchises, as well as award winning films such as Forrest Gump, Titanic, and Braveheart among others. Scott also served as Executive Vice President & GM at ARC Entertainment, where Scott acquired many films and managed all distribution channels for films such as The Barber, The Walking Deceased, Lullaby, Louder Than Words, Chloe & Theo and many others.  

Currently, Scott is the Founder/CEO of DWA Group, Inc. DWA Group, Inc. was founded in January of 2017, primarily focused as a Producer Representative for independent films to obtain worldwide distribution deals for filmmakers.  

Throughout his career, he has actively sought indies with great conceptual content and strong commercial potential. This has given him the perspective to evaluate films on their own merits in the current market. This, combined with his willingness to provide filmmakers with his honest point of view, has resulted in successful distribution for many films that may not have made it to the marketplace otherwise.
